Election time brings out the worst in people, I think. You tend to find out what your friends really think of you when they shoot their mouth off to voice their opinions. By all means, have an opinion. By all means, voice it. Just realize not everyone agrees with you, including some of those you call your friends, and you could potentially damage any part of the relationship you had by insulting them, even if it is Indirectly.
For instance, I've just had my intelligence belittled simply because of my religious beliefs. I don't appreciate that, and I honestly can't imagine anyone else enjoying me saying something like, "All Union workers are dumb-ass low-lifes that can never get passed Blue Collar work."
Would that sit well with you? I didn't think so.
