And here I thought Zin was gonna take forever.
Akira is kicking my ass. But he looks so freakin' good doin' it so it's mildly okay. I have half of his hair, his horns, and his belt, and then I'm done with his top half. After that it's onto the legs, boots, and tail!

And then I get to do the background..... FFFF

In related news, I've had this Wacom Intuos for nearly ten years. I got it my junior year in high school, and I'm class of '02. I'm still on the original pen nib, but Now alluva sudden I think I should change it since it's no longer... round. For the first time in a decade, I can't find the replacements. :||||

Also, I haven't said anything in a while: Trevor's doing fine. He's got some mucus-related breathing issues, but he's still on Potassium (6ml a day), and we've gotten him a fourth kind of antibiotic which he still hates but wtfe, cat. If I get this stuff in my mouth, I don't mind at all. >:D (Also it seems to be helping better than the other stuff did, WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HOW IT TASTES TO ME). And past all that he's actually doing fairly well! He's 17 so he's not a spring chicken anymore (nor is he grooming) but he's social, he eats, he cuddles with us a LOT, and he goes outside still.

Oh, and we're closing my parents' office down this month. Thank you, Carter/Bush1/Clinton/Bush2/Obama administration. I blame all of you for this, because you're the ones that didn't see a problem with giving loans to people that couldn't afford them. And then of course we all blame the banks/lenders/evil brokers when these people have to foreclose on their homes because SURPRISE they can't make the payments. How dare they expect these people to pay their debts like responsible adults!

Climate Gate - Full article
The conspiracy behind the Anthropogenic Global Warming myth (aka AGW; aka ManBearPig) has been suddenly, brutally and quite deliciously exposed after a hacker broke into the computers at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (aka CRU) and released 61 megabytes of confidential files onto the internet.

It'll be interesting to see what develops, but you won't hear about it from ABC, NBC, or CBS any time soon. But an investigation is pending, nonetheless.

Glenn Beck on Global Warming and Eating Meat. Back in 2007.

So, Al Gore agrees with PETA that eating meat is worse for the planet than car/bus/plane/train/space shuttle carbon emissions COMBINED.

But, as of Good Morning America today, he still won't go vegetarian for the sake of the planet.

Hmm.

But who is John Galt? :D

Hmmmmm

Because our leaders in the White House don't have anything better to do. You know... like running the country into the ground?

White House effectively declares War on a cable news network for having opposing viewpoints.

I can think of a few other world leaders that would approve of this sort of tactic. Oh, wait. Haha, silly me. Anita Dunn could, too!

Just sayin'.

It only took me all summer to get around to it but I finally made a Ring tone file of Glenn Beck exploding at a Troll calling his radio program. I've wanted it since July but every time I thought of it I didn't have access to record it. I still need to convert it to MP3 and send it to my phone but the audio is ripped and ready.

Same thing for Senator Grayson proclaiming what he feels Republican health care reform entails: "DIE QUICKLY" I couldn't stop laughing after I'd recorded it. X'D Mah cheeks are stained with tears. That one's going as my Text message alert since the MGS Codec one is so freaking loud @_@

I'd do the "Mmm Mmm Mmm! Barack Hussein Obama!" one from the Jersey elementary school but the audio's such crap that nobody would understand it when it went off. :(

Anyway. If either of those sounds interesting to you guys, let me know and I'll send it your way. <3

My folks are going through expenses and doing number crunching right now.

HUD basically says that they can't do FHA loans, which is half their business if not more. The reasoning: They don't make enough money, so therefore they must be scammers.
I would like you to think that over a moment.
They make less. LESS. than $250,000 a year, so therefore they're possible scammers.

IN WHAT UNIVERSE DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

I interpret it this way: You make less than $250,000 a year. If you are a scammer, you're not a very good one, and therefore when we become the only source of loans, you won't be very useful to us.
Note: FHA got a bailout because they failed at running their business, yet my folks are being held accountable and if they screw up, TOO BAD SO SAD. NO $$ FOR YOU.

ANYWAY. They'll be closing their shop next year and they're trying to figure out what expenses we have and will need to cover and how best to go about that.
With no formal education. :D Yay.

Michigan Senate Affirms Sovereignty Under the 10th Amendment

“My reasons for so strongly stating my belief in the Tenth Amendment through these resolutions is that our federal government is becoming oppressive in size and is intruding in our lives,” Senator Patterson emphasized.

“Our founding fathers decided that the country would be established on the sovereignty of the states. Our voices need to be heard, we will not stand by while our rights are stripped away. It was great to see that my Senate colleagues concurred. ”

Heading home from my sister's today. Yes, I have a sister. :b Only half of one, but still. Anyway, we watched the DC rally yesterday. Official estimates range anywhere from 60,000 to 2 million, depending on who you ask. ;D Oh, and the DC police suggested 1.2 million, despite the street and traffic cams being turned off. There were about 1,000 at the Temecula rally that my dad went to. My niece is sick or we would have gone to the rally in Phoenix. Maybe. I mean, it was only 106 F there XP

Re: the class, my Speech teach told us to e-mail him Thursday night about our wait list status. I either e-mailed him Thursday night or Friday mor.... Friday afternoon. *nods* I did it after we arrived at my sister's. About 8 pm he got back to me about my status, telling me that I was in. I didn't get that e-mail until Saturday morning, however, and by then apparently the registration had closed. I told him my situation and he just told me that tomorrow he'd talk to the Dean about an appeal. T^T Why I care so much is that I have this semester's classes and then one last class before I can leave. He told me that they're not offering this class in the Winter, and I need this class to transfer in the Spring. (As Mom pointed out, how many people beg to get into a Speech class? XP) Cross your fingers!!

My sister bleached my roots yesterday but we didn't do the dying, so I have orange bangs with blonde roots, and chocolate hair with copper roots. It's quite interesting. :D

Probably going to buy a Neo Genesis 27 copy when I get back, from a girl in the UK. >> Seeing hers up for sale made me realize how much I liked that MUCC photoshoot. Siiigh, Satochi and Miya in tight pants... There's one up for grabs on eBay for $35; hers I can get for $25 and it's in good condition. :D Anyway...

I need to get dressed and pack up to leave now. See you in 8 hours? D: @_@

So, our vet had to do some digging around and asking of experts.

Trevor has elevated protein levels (we discovered this at the time of the potassium thing). By "elevated" we mean they're roughly 40x what they should be. Yeah. 40. The proteins are coming from his body attacking his muscles. Clearly this isn't common in cats. Basically his is a condition that's found more often in people than in cats, but it's not like it can't happen. BUUUUT. Bottom line is that it can be a tumor near his digestive system. Malignant or benign, we dunno. But the tumor theory is just that: a theory.

So, then, the vet gave us some testing options: We could have the $1000 .... whatever scan, the $500 MRI scan, or the far more accurate $30 blood test that has $45 shipping to Tennessee.

I shit you not, he gave that list of options to my mom to pick from.

I have a little tiny article that I want you to read. I do mean tiny.

FCC’s New 'Diversity Officer' Wants to Force Private Broadcasters to Fund Public Broadcasters Dollar for Dollar.

The "Chief Diversity Officer" in question, Mark Lloyd, is calling for the gross operating budget for every private radio station each year to be the fee (tax) they pay for their broadcast license for the year, with the monies going to the always liberal public stations. With whom they then must compete for listeners.

What that translates to, for those that have never run a business, is, whatever costs it takes for you to run your business (pay checks, bills, insurances) each year, you now have to pay as an annual license fee, which then gets pushed to the pubic stations. AKA, your competition.

So, say I have a radio station. I pay each of my hosts $1000 a year. I have 5 hosts, that's $5000 a year. I pay their insurance. That's another $5000 a year. I have bills to pay, such as electricity and water. That's another $5000 a year. So, I have an annual expense of $15000, just to run my business. Well, I now have to pay DOUBLE that, because my license fee is also $15000, and that second $15000 is going to my competitor.

I ask you: How does one RUN a business with this kind of BS going on?

Answer: One doesn't.

And that's the point.

Lloyd's instructions to Leftist activists are clear: use the FCC to pummel conservative talk radio. With fines, or entirely out of existence.

I know, I know. Evil conservatives. They need to just get out of the way, anyway.

Let me remind you of a little document, you might have heard about it: THE BILL OF RIGHTS, and in it our First Amendment, the RIGHT to free speech, free press, free religion, and last but not least, freedom of dissent, which Hilary Clinton herself pointed out is something that is very American, and is not to be snuffed out.

But who is John Galt?

The third largest endorsement lender of FHA-insured loans and the eighth largest Ginnie Mae issuer with $24 billion, or 3%, of current outstanding Ginnie Mae fixed rate securities, forced to close its doors.

The closure follows actions taken by HUD yesterday in response to TBW’s failure to submit a required annual report and to disclose "certain irregular transactions that raised concerns of fraud."

Why do I care? They're one of the most prominent lenders that my parents work with. This means that any borrowers with unfinished loan processing with TBW won't get their loan. This means that the government effectively stole $24 billion and dumped it into a bank of their choosing.

All over "failure to submit a required annual report." No actual claims of fraud or anything. 2,000 people that actually worked for the company lost their jobs, and borrowers have lost yet another funding option.

Now, really. Who is John Galt?

by Janet Contreras

I listened to this letter be read on TV tonight, and it moved me to get off my butt, get back onto my butt, and blog about it, as few things ever have. I can't legally repost it here, but the bottom line is this: If you're an American, read it if you want to. If you agree with it, sign the petition after it. If you believe in it, repost this. If you're not an American, read it if you want to. If you agree with it, sign the petition after it. If you believe in it, repost this. Show your support if you have it.

You're not alone.

So some time last year, I believe it was, a bill was passed that if your money-related business (investing, lending, brokerage, etc.) was worth less than $250,000, you basically weren't worthy enough to keep your doors open. This was passed in an effort to protect the people from scammers and such (like Bernie Madoff) by weeding out the obviously fraudulent businesses (unlike Bernie Madoff's business, because with all his net worth, it was clearly not fraudulent at all.) that can barely keep their heads above water.

Why do I care? My parents are mortgage brokers and their business isn't even worth $75,000, let alone $250,000. So to protect the people from our evil and unworthy business that's survived two housing market crashes, stricter lending policies, and out-and-out IDIOTS in the loan processing ... process, we will have to close our doors by the end of next year and find a either a new job or an entirely new industry. My parents are in their 50s and don't have college educations. Think this'll be an easy transition?

All because we don't make enough.

Oh, and the kicker is that if we did make $250,000, we'd be in the RICH tax bracket and would have to pay even MORE in income tax.

Yeah, I'm glad that my government has had a good head on its shoulders for the last 25 years or so. Can't you tell?

It took this for you to be able to say that you're "finally proud to be an American"?

I'm not entirely sure I'm proud to know you anymore.

Wow.

Just... Wow.

You Are a Capitalist Republican

Money makes your world go round - and it's no surprise that you always vote your wallet.

You're financially successful (or plan to be), and your agenda is low tax and pro business.

You don't get fired up about abortion... but mention capital gains tax, and you go crazy.

You want government to be as small as possible - and to stay out of the way of business.

I could have been a Libertarian... but this is more accurate. *nods* Granted, the two have their similarities.
